1. Generate Keys
You and your recipient generate unique Key Pairs.
Securely send encrypted text through WhatsApp, Email, or SMS. Only your intended recipient can read it. No servers, no tracking, just pure cryptography.
We use asymmetric cryptography to ensure your messages stay completely private.
You and your recipient generate unique Key Pairs.
AsymLock uses the recipient's Public Key to lock your message.
Copy the text block and send it via WhatsApp, Email, or SMS.
The recipient pastes the text. Their Private Key unlocks it.
First time using AsymLock? Follow these simple steps to start sending and receiving secure messages.
Start by setting up your profile name. This helps you identify your own keys within the app and makes it easier to manage your identity.
Generate your unique cryptographic key pair. This creates a Public Key (to share with others) and a Private Key (kept securely on your device).
👉 Want to see how it works right after generating your key? Jump to the Test It Out section!
To send a message to someone, you first need their Public Key. Import the recipient's key into your app so AsymLock knows how to lock the message specifically for them.
Type your message. AsymLock uses the recipient's key (from Step 3) to encrypt the text, and your own key (from Step 2) to digitally sign it, proving it came from you.
Copy the encrypted text block and share it through any channel—WhatsApp, SMS, Email, etc. Even if it's an insecure channel or you accidentally send it to the wrong person, your information will not leak because only the intended recipient can unlock it.
Export your Public Key and send it to your friends. They need your key to verify that the messages you send are genuinely from you, and to encrypt their own replies back to you.
When you receive an encrypted message, paste it into AsymLock to decrypt it. As long as you have imported the sender's key beforehand, the app will verify the text owner. You never have to worry about messages being spoofed by bad actors.
Want to see the magic in action? Share your Public Key with our automated bot, and we will send back a secret message that only you can decrypt!
"Industry-standard" refers to the use of widely adopted, thoroughly tested cryptographic algorithms that are trusted by security professionals worldwide. It ensures your messages are protected using the same proven security methods relied upon by modern tech companies, financial institutions, and privacy advocates.
Yes. AsymLock uses industry-standard 25519-family elliptic-curve cryptography. There is no central database for hackers to breach.
No! AsymLock works 100% offline. The encryption happens entirely on your device.
Because AsymLock is entirely offline and zero-knowledge, we do not have a copy of your keys. If you lose your Private Key, you will permanently lose the ability to decrypt your message history. To move to a new phone, you must manually and securely back up your keys and import them to your new device. We cannot recover lost keys for you.
AsymLock itself does not transmit messages over the internet. Instead, it generates a block of encrypted text. You simply tap to copy this text, open your favorite messaging app (like WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS, or Email), and paste it there to send. Your friend will copy the text from that app and paste it into AsymLock to decrypt it.
You should only share your Public Key. To make this safe and foolproof, the "Export Key" function in AsymLock is designed to export only your Public Key. Think of your Public Key like your home address or bank account number—anyone can have it so they know where to send things to you. Your Private Key, however, is like the physical key to your front door or your ATM PIN. You must keep it a secret and never share it with anyone.
This is to prove the sender's true identity. When you send a message, AsymLock uses your Private Key to "digitally sign" it. When your friend receives the message, their app uses your Public Key to verify that signature. This guarantees the message wasn't tampered with and prevents anyone from impersonating you.
No. AsymLock does not require any personal information, email addresses, or phone numbers. Your identity within the app is tied entirely to the cryptographic keys generated locally on your device.
Absolutely not. Your message history is stored locally on your physical device, not on our servers. Because we do not have access to your device or your Private Key, it is mathematically impossible for us to read your encrypted messages.
AsymLock is currently designed for highly secure, one-to-one communication. Because a message is encrypted using one specific recipient's Public Key, that specific block of text can only be decrypted by that single person.
Because your keys and message history are stored locally on your device, anyone who gains access to your unlocked phone could potentially open AsymLock and read your history. We highly recommend securing your phone with a strong passcode and biometric authentication (like Face ID or a fingerprint) to protect your local data from physical theft.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the AsymLock mobile application, website, or related services, collectively referred to as the “App”, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, referred to as the “Terms.”
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not download, install, access, or use the App.
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Wong, the developer and operator of AsymLock.
AsymLock is an offline text encryption tool designed to help users secure text communications using asymmetric cryptography and related cryptographic methods.
The App allows users to:
AsymLock does not operate a central message server and does not provide message delivery services. You are responsible for choosing how and where to send encrypted text blocks generated by the App.
AsymLock uses industry-standard cryptographic methods, including 25519-family elliptic-curve cryptography or similar cryptographic techniques implemented within the App.
To send a secure message, you must import your intended recipient’s public key. The App uses that public key to encrypt your text so that only the corresponding private key should be able to decrypt it.
To help prove that a message came from you, the App may use your private key to digitally sign the encrypted text. The recipient must use your corresponding public key to verify the signature and confirm the message origin.
You are responsible for verifying that any public key you import actually belongs to the intended person. If you use an incorrect, outdated, spoofed, or malicious public key, your messages may be readable by the wrong person, or you may incorrectly trust a forged or spoofed identity.
AsymLock cannot independently verify the real-world identity of any user or key holder.
AsymLock is designed to operate locally on your device. Encryption, decryption, key generation, signing, and signature verification are performed on your device.
When we describe AsymLock as “zero-knowledge,” we mean that the developers of AsymLock do not receive, store, or have access to your message content, cryptographic keys, or local message history through the App.
Your generated cryptographic key pairs, including public and private keys, are stored locally on your device.
The App may store encrypted message blocks and related message history locally on your device for your convenience.
The App may store public keys that you import from other users so that you can encrypt messages to them or verify their signatures.
We do not collect, transmit, store, read, or recover your private keys, message content, contacts, or local message history on external servers.
Because your data is stored locally, we cannot recover your private key, decrypt your messages, restore your local message history, or access your App data for you.
You are responsible for your use of AsymLock and for protecting your device, keys, and encrypted communications.
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your private key. If you lose, delete, overwrite, or compromise your private key, you may permanently lose the ability to decrypt messages or sign new messages.
AsymLock cannot recover lost private keys under any circumstances.
The security of your encrypted messages, keys, and local message history depends on the security of your device. If your device is compromised by malware, spyware, keyloggers, unauthorized physical access, insecure backups, or weak device security settings, your keys and local App data may be exposed.
You should protect your device with a strong passcode, biometric authentication where available, updated operating system software, and other appropriate security measures.
Depending on your device settings, operating system, and backup configuration, locally stored App data may be included in device backups, cloud backups, or device migration tools. Such backups are controlled by your device, operating system provider, or backup provider, not by AsymLock.
You are responsible for managing your backup settings and protecting any backups that may contain App data.
If you copy messages, encrypted text blocks, public keys, private keys, or other information to your device clipboard, that information may be temporarily stored or accessible according to your operating system and device settings. Other apps or system features may be able to access clipboard content in some circumstances.
You agree to use AsymLock only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not use the App to:
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or discontinue access to the App where required by law or where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
AsymLock is not designed or intended for emergency communications, life-safety purposes, classified information, regulated professional communications, or any high-risk use where failure, delay, loss of keys, or incorrect operation of the App could result in death, personal injury, severe financial loss, legal harm, or other significant damage.
AsymLock generates encrypted text blocks that you may choose to copy and send through third-party services, including but not limited to WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS, email providers, cellular networks, cloud services, or other messaging platforms.
AsymLock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for these third-party services. Your use of third-party platforms is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
Once you transmit information through a third-party service, that service may process, store, scan, log, deliver, delay, block, or disclose that information according to its own policies and applicable law. AsymLock does not control those third-party services.
If you download AsymLock from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or another app distribution platform, your download and use of the App may also be subject to that platform’s terms, policies, and privacy practices.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App at any time, with or without notice.
Updates may include bug fixes, security improvements, feature changes, or changes to cryptographic implementation. You are responsible for keeping the App updated where updates are available.
We do not guarantee that any feature will always be available or that older versions of the App will continue to function indefinitely.
All rights, title, and interest in and to AsymLock, including its software, code, design, interface, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, and other content, are owned by Wong or its licensors.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
Because AsymLock includes encryption functionality, it may be subject to export control, sanctions, and encryption-related laws and regulations.
You agree to comply with all applicable export control, sanctions, and encryption-related laws. You must not download, use, export, re-export, transfer, or provide access to the App in violation of applicable laws or to any prohibited country, entity, or individual.
You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or territory where use of the App would be prohibited by applicable law.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AsymLock, Wong, its developers, owners, affiliates, and licensors disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, and security.
While the App is designed to use industry-standard cryptographic methods, we do not warrant that:
You use the App at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AsymLock, Wong, its developers, owners, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, messages, keys, or other intangible losses arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AsymLock, Wong, its developers, owners, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled when you use AsymLock.
Because AsymLock is designed to operate locally and offline, we do not collect, transmit, or store your message content, cryptographic keys, or local message history through the App. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
We may modify or replace these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice, such as by updating the Terms on our website, app store listing, or within the App where practical.
The updated Terms will become effective when posted or otherwise made available, unless a later effective date is stated.
By continuing to use the App after the updated Terms become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App where required by law, where the App is discontinued, or where we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms.
Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, privacy, governing law, and any provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the courts or dispute resolution forum located in Malaysia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If a feature of the App requests a device permission, such as file access for importing or exporting keys, that permission is used only for the purpose described at the time of request and the data remains on your device unless you choose to share or export it.
If future versions of the App require additional permissions or introduce new data practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
AsymLock lets you copy encrypted text blocks and send them using third-party platforms such as WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS, email, or other messaging apps.
Once you paste, upload, or transmit information through a third-party service, that service’s own privacy policy and terms of service apply.
AsymLock does not control and is not responsible for how third-party services transmit, store, scan, process, block, delay, disclose, or otherwise handle encrypted text blocks or related metadata.
Even if a third-party service cannot read the encrypted message content, it may still collect metadata such as sender, recipient, time, IP address, device information, or delivery details depending on that service.
AsymLock itself does not include third-party advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs within the App, unless expressly disclosed in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
However, if you download AsymLock from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or another distribution platform, that platform may collect information such as:
